B&T

Miura was called in by B&T Planthire Ltd
to re-invigorate their Corporate Branding and to design, produce and roll-out all brochures and print associated with their corporate re-branding project.

B&T’s main aim was to build a corporate identity within the plant hire industry and position itself as an indispensable partner for many of the major contractor companies. One of the core elements of the re-branding was to create an online resource for existing and future clients. So, we needed to create a website design that was functional, utilitarian and accessible.

B&T are a company with great vision, a company with the foresight to want to make an impact on the market through corporate branding. But their previous identity suffered from inconsistency; different typefaces were used everywhere, different tones of their corporate colour were applied, and there was a lack of attention to detail in the design of all printed collateral.

First, we needed to see if retaining their corporate colour, a hue of green, would reinforce their identity. After some market research, we decided to keep a green but to change the tone and re-invigorate it. Make it young and more dynamic.

We simplified their old branding design which was in essence a collection of circles and dots into a single, large green spot. Its new bold simplicity was a striking and dynamic step forward. And we designed the corporate stationery and literature in the same clear, no-nonsense, pragmatic way.

The portrait formatted business cards with a large spot and large clear type act almost as green light to business. When you have the card you knew you are in good hands. When you hire from B&T, you know you have the right of way.
