Edenbrook (now Hitachi Consulting) provides organisations with long-term business support solutions that encompass business process outsourcing, applications, database and infrastructure support as well as hosting. And they’re one of only a handful of companies accredited with the highest partnership status by Microsoft and Oracle.

Edenbrook approached Miura after having undertaken a series of unsuccessful internal strategic phases for the re-design of their website. The brief was simple, to design
a website that would inform users and potential clients of Edenbrook's offering, partnerships and commitment to technology.

More importantly, we had to design and build a website that would invoke the sense of calm that Edenbrook bring to client relationships with their expertise and knowledge.



Our first response on studying the brief was to ask ‘Why have previous website designs failed to invoke the right mood and fulfil the brief?’

The reasons we found lay both in the design solutions provided, which did not position Edenbrook in the correct light and as a market leader, and in the process to which those design phases had been subjected.

Our first step was to create and present a clear structure and process to the Edenbrook Board of Directors. We determined and confirmed project goals and agreed a sign-off on the brief from all stakeholders. We were then able to develop a website design with a thorough understanding the Directors’ needs and beliefs.

We created mood boards to determine the visual language for photography for the website and the corporate branding and then married these to a framework that gave Edenbrook the flexibility they needed from their website design.

By creating the right strategic framework from the outset we created a graphic design style that embodied the values of the brand and the business.
