Plantex Equipment Ltd is a young company which imports some of the very best Japanese excavators on the market. Plantex came to Miura for a web design consultation and solution. They wanted impact and something that would single them out as a brand new company with a brand new approach.
The Plantex Equipment Ltd branding design we were confronted with was, you could say, ‘the bare bones’. It consisted of a simple blue strip with the company name on it in white.
We took this as a challenge but also as a gift as the client was happy for use to move the boundaries with regards to the existing elements.
We decided to embrace these simple graphic design elements and bring them to life. To do this, we turned the logotype symbol into a three dimensional object. As the company name is so long we turned the plain blue strip into a solid, square-section beam.
We then took the 3D logo to the Plantex Yard and photographed it in situ surrounded by the real products. No jargon, no mysticism just the real deal. We then transferred this way of depicting the brand to the website design and produced a truly unique site as well as a new visual language for the business.
