Susan Jane Murray

Branding & Identity / Web design & Build

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Susan Jane Murray is a foodie specializing in food intolerances. Her personal battle with this and her passion for food have driven her to bring good, healthy and most of all tasty recipe options to the table.

Miura was recommended to Susan by one of our existing clients. And in our initial consultation we sat with Susan to review her needs. In this consultation we got a feel for who Susan was and how we could help her. Susan arrived at our studios with some knowledge of how she wanted to be represented but at this stage she had not even signed-off on her formal name. Would it be Susan Murray, Susan Jane Murray, Suzi J....

In a nutshell, we had to brand Susan Jane Murray, formalise a visual language, tone of voice and create a website she could manage and control easily in-between filming and creating new and innovative recipes.

THE SOLUTION

At Miura we look at every graphic design project as an individual journey of discovery. Commencing the Susan Jane Murray website design project was an exciting time as we had a friendly client, with bags of enthusiasm who was willing to listen, as well as give us valued feedback.

We started by assigning values to Susan Jane Murray's alter ego, and these we pointed out as Natural, Approachable and Tolerant. We wanted to create a feel that embodied the virtues of good old fashioned home cooking, the sense of health, stability and familiarity. Time was also on our minds, this is to say, that we needed to represent the time and care taken with every ingredient that is measured and calculated to help people with food intolerance's.

Having all of these values we created graphic design styles that matched our criteria and then we created, designed and built a fully content managed website so Susan and her team could have sole control.

We created her all important blog, functionality to upload her recipes, linked her Gastro Guineas to their favorite recipes and built a host of other features all of which are now live and at < a href="http://www.susanjanemurray.com" target="blank">www.susanjanemurray.com.

If you have any food intolerance, or are just looking for easy to make, good tasty food, give Susan's recipes a try. We know they are amazing.... we've had our fair share.
